NNPC/Chevron JV National University Scholarship awards were set up through a Joint-venture program between Chevron and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. The Scholarship seeks to reward students, especially the highly academically sound ones with fully-funded scholarships at the university level.

It is part of the corporate responsibility of Chevron Nigeria Limited which has over the years contributed immensely to providing financial aid to students in need.

NNPC/Chevron JV Scholarship Requirements.

The requirements differ for regular students and visually impaired students.

Regular Students

• Must have made at least an average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.
• Currently in 200 Level at the University.
• WAEC/SSCE/NECO or NABTEB obtained in not more than one sitting.
• Sound academic records with discipline.
• One’s social status can be a determining factor sometimes.
• Applicants will have to present their JAMB admission letters as proof that they duly admitted into a high Institution.
• Each Applicant will also present his or her school ID card. So try as much as possible to make your own available, while students that have lost their ID card should quickly get a replacement.
• It’s important you know that you will be submitting your passport photograph.

Special Requirements for Visually Impaired Students

• Expected to have at least a CGPA of 2.5 in a 5-grade system.
• O-level with 5 credit pass obtained in not more than one sitting.
• Must also be in 200 level in any Nigerian University.

NNPC/Cheveron Scholarship Worth

Applicant receives over N200,000 in full scholarship funding. This, however, depends on the course of study. Other stipends and permitted living allowances also follow up.
